The outsole that made RAX recognizable

The paw print is not a graphic on the side of the shoe. It is the outsole itself: rounded, sculpted pads of anti-slip rubber with deep multi-directional lugs between them. The shape gives every step a distinctive footprint and, more importantly, gives the shoe its grip on wet rock, loose ground and stream beds. Colors range from quiet neutrals to bold contrasts, so the sole can stay a private detail or become part of the whole look.

How paw shoes are built

Above the outsole, paw shoes use breathable mesh, suede or textile uppers with welded overlays for support and lacing that locks the midfoot down. Many drain and dry quickly, which makes them a natural choice for hiking routes with water crossings and for travel where one pair has to do everything.

Fit

Paw styles fit true to size, and most are cut as unisex EU sizes with US equivalents shown on the product page. Use the size chart for exact foot lengths, and go up half a size if you walk in thick socks.
