Plush Snowboots

The Plush Snowboots are built for the part of winter a hiking shoe cannot handle. The collar sits above the ankle and is lined with deep plush that holds heat in when you stop moving, and the suede leather upper keeps its shape in cold and wet. A wolf camo panel wraps the ankle and heel, which is where the boot gets its look. Underneath is a natural rubber outsole with deep, widely spaced lugs cut for snow rather than dry rock.

• Lace-up closure with a padded heel pull

Fit and sizing

True to size in length, and cut on a wide last, so there is room for thick winter socks without sizing up. If you normally need a narrow fit, this is not that boot. Available in EU 39 to 47. See the size chart for foot lengths in centimetres.

Terrain and use

Made for cold weather: snow, packed ice, frozen trails and winter walking. The mid-high collar keeps snow out of the boot and the lugs bite into loose snow. This is not a waterproof boot, and that is worth knowing before you buy. It handles snow and cold well, but deep slush or a stream crossing will get through.

Care

Brush off snow and dry at room temperature, away from radiators and direct heat, which cracks leather. Treat the suede with a protector spray before the first wear and again through the season. Take the insole out to speed up drying.
